Finance Development Program Summer Intern
We seek students with one summer remaining and pursuing either a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics or related major, with foundational accounting knowledge and strong academic performance. Competitive candidates will have stellar analytical and interpersonal skills and a desire to impact the future of energy.
The Summer Internship is an introduction and a key entry point to the Finance Development Program (FDP), our full-time, 24-month rotational program that was established in 1977. Interns will be assigned to a host team within our Finance organization, ranging from corporate teams such as Audit, Treasury, or Digital Finance to embedded finance teams that support operations in Upstream, Midstream, Downstream, and Renewables business units. Internships showcase the energy industry's complexities and allow interns to solve real business problems and optimize processes creatively. Interns will also have opportunities to learn about and apply new digital technologies (i.e., Microsoft Power products, dashboards, data analytics) to enable better, faster decision making.
The internship lasts 10-12 weeks and interns will have the opportunity to attend trainings, social events, and networking opportunities with Chevron Finance leaders, Program members and alumni, and 300+ other Chevron interns from non-finance disciplines. Participation in employee networks (similar to student organizations) is encouraged and provides additional development, mentoring, and networking activities. Visible in every aspect of the internship is Chevron's commitment to diversity & inclusion.
Summer internships are located in Houston, Texas. Internships will be virtual if relocation is unsafe or restricted.
