Are you curious about portfolio management and investment strategies? We're looking for energetic, creative talent to join our global team of experts to develop innovative investment strategies for our clients.

You'll collaborate with industry experts to develop investment solutions for our corporate, government, not-for-profit and individual clients worldwide. You'll work with client portfolio managers, traders, research analysts, marketers and client advisors to analyze and execute investments strategies. What to expect
Our nine-week program kicks off with a week of induction, where you'll have training and orientation to our businesses and gain the technical and practical knowledge you'll need to start contributing to our teams.

You'll then join the Highbridge Capital Management. Highbridge Capital Management, LLC is a global alternative asset management firm founded in 1992. Since its inception, the company has developed a diversified investment platform that includes hedge funds, traditional investment management products, and committed, closed-end vehicles with longer-term holding periods. Highbridge is a differentiated, credit and volatility focused franchise with the flexibility to invest opportunistically across the capital structure and liquidity spectrum. The Firm currently manages $4 billion of capital and seeks to generate attractive risk-adjusted returns for some of the world’s most prominent institutional investors, public and corporate pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, endowments, foundations and family offices. The firm is based in New York with an office in London.

Highbridge Capital Management is seeking intern software developers to code and build best in class applications used by the whole firm. The candidate will experience working in a fast paced, test-driven, agile environment interacting directly with Portfolio Managers, Traders, and Research teams.

Top performers may receive a full-time (for juniors) or returning summer internship (for sophomores) offer at the end of the summer.

You'll also:

• Code and test features written in Java for the backend, and React for the frontend.
• Develop an understanding of the firm’s data needs
• Work in a fast-paced, test-driven, agile environment
• Network with industry leaders, access best-in-class training and learn how all our business work together to provide excellent customer service
• Sharpen your technical skills, and finance and accounting principles
• Work under the guidance of mentors and a supportive team to help you learn and grow

About you

If you're highly-motivated and enjoy working in teams to develop and execute solutions, this is the role for you.

Key skills include:

• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Strong quantitative skills and a passion for investing
• Exceptional organizational skills and ability to multitask
• Strong initiative, energy and confidence
• Background in financial accounting, financial analysis or mathematics a plus
• Genuine interest in financial markets, investing and macro-level economics
• Good judgment and discretion working with highly confidential information
• Attend college/university in the U.S.
• College courses in object oriented software programming, data structures, or design patterns
• Passionate about coding and technology
• Eager to learning investment concepts
• Strong team player, and communicator
• Interested in debugging both front and backend technologies
• Expected graduation date of December 2024 – June 2025
