FirstBank is committed to participating in a Pre-Career Development Program by providing Interns with the opportunity to gain valuable knowledge and experience in the retail banking field. We are looking to fill 12 - 16 internship positions across the state of Colorado. The Retail Banking Internship is a 7-9 week foundational program for individuals interested in pursuing careers in retail banking.
Over the course of an intern’s training at FirstBank, they will obtain experience in bank operations through branch shadowing, will build their knowledge in management and lending, and complete tasks and projects related to their professional development. Interns will receive an overview of how all functions and departments interact and contribute to the success of the entire organization.
Throughout the program, interns will be given the opportunity to grow personally and professionally. Development of interpersonal skills and relationship building capabilities are the most integral parts of the program. The internship will allow interns to see a high-level overview of how a bank branch is run, as well as the functions of departments at the Holding Company. It is FirstBank’s goal to provide a valuable and rewarding experience to our interns.
After completion of the internship program, Retail Banking Interns have the opportunity to apply for a multitude of roles within the bank. Interns can apply for the Management Training Program, after completion of the internship and after graduation. If the intern applies and is hired for a branch or headquarters position, that can be started after the internship prior to graduation.
