- Modeling and drawing creation
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production tooling.
- Participate in multi-discipline team to design, procure and build custom tooling that support assembly and test of Raytheon products.
- Engage with program engineers, Program Management, and operations leadership to define tooling requirements.
- (Sophomore Technical) - must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program
- (Junior Technical) - must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program
- (Senior Technical) - must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program
- (Post-Graduate Technical) must have an undergraduate degree and be enrolled in a graduate degree program (in degree fields listed in Qualifications) by start of internship
- Must be Sophomore, Junior, Senior or Post Graduate by the start of January 2024 in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Must be available fulltime starting January 2024 for the onsite internship
- Experience with 3D CAD modeling
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- 3.0 cumulative GPA desired
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, including a basic knowledge, and understanding of GD&T.
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Excel and Word
- Experience utilizing CAD (Computer Aided Design) tools such as CREO.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with coworkers who have diverse experiences, communities and cultures
- Demonstrated ability to work with colleagues who represent a diversity of work and conflict resolution styles
- Onsite : Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.
- Hybrid : Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader.
- Remote : Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.

Job Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Engineering student to join our Advanced Products Center (APC) Texas Materials and Process team in McKinney, Texas. As an Engineering intern the responsibilities will include all aspects of the Special Tooling Mechanical design process from concept to model / drawing completion for Special Tools and Special Test Fixtures of low to moderate complexity required to support product builds for each assigned task working under the general supervision of a team lead. Some assembly of your designs may be required. You will work closely with product engineers, quality engineers, reliability engineers, test engineers, industrial engineers, and operations leaders on product manufacturing.
