- Integrates data from one or more source systems into data repositories that are optimized for reporting and analytics
- Learn to manage, manipulate, interpret, and analyze both internal and external datasets through a full data ingestion pipeline process
- Design controls to ensure data integrity, consistency, and quality
- Maintain documentation of analytics conducted, processes created, and assumptions made in analyses
- With oversight, present in both verbal and written form to provide stakeholders with data analytics that gives meaning, insight, and purpose to information
- Pursuing major in relevant quantitative field, such as Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics
- Experience using SQL, R and/or Python, or similar programming and analytics applications
- Proficient in MS Office products: Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Experience in Big Data ecosystem or Hadoop, AWS Athena, Cloudera Impala, HDFS, or similar programming applications is a plus, but not required
- Experience with Linux based operating systems and scripting tools is a plus, but not required
- Knowledge of machine learning techniques is a plus, but not required
- Knowledge of version control software, such as Git, is a plus, but not required

Job Summary:
The data & analytics intern will work with the Data & Analytics team at the Boston Fed. The intern will be responsible for analyzing and transforming data into meaningful and valuable input for management decision making. At the end of the internship, there will be an opportunity to present the work conducted over the summer to Boston Fed management.
