Smith & Associates, insurance staff counsel for State Farm Insurance Companies, is hiring a rising 3L Summer Law Intern (Class of 2025) who will have exposure to legal research and litigation practice with our state-wide team. The candidate selected for this position will be located in our Orlando, Florida or Fort Lauderdale, Florida claim litigation office. The internship strives to provide a balanced and realistic representation of the function of Claims Litigation Counsel, as well as real-world exposure to a multitude of legal services being provided. The selected individual will have the opportunity to work one-on-one with attorneys on assigned projects, observe every phase of litigation, and will have a designated mentor throughout the internship. The internship has a full-time schedule in the summer beginning Monday, May 20, 2024, through Friday, August 2, 2024, with the potential to transition to a part-time schedule during the 2024/2025 school year. The selected intern will be paid $28/hour and operate in a hybrid environment (combination of in-office and remote). The Summer Intern selected will also receive a $2,000 Intern Stipend.
