Intern Program Overview: Our 8-week paid summer internship program offers hands-on experience through challenging, collaborative and exciting projects intended to address real-time business needs and empowers you to contribute to identifying cutting-edge solutions. The production Intern will provide support including communicating with vendors and buyers to facilitate a smooth production development process.

Responsibilities

• Ensure deadlines are met and PD team is on schedule by providing scheduling, calendar management, and basic correspondence services
• Maintain an up-to-date department database by receiving, processing, and filing internal paperwork, including data entry and basic data manipulation services
• Keep track of all development reporting requirements, which include line plan analysis, calendar actualization, and developed versus adopted reports in order to improve the development process for future seasons
• Serve as a point of contact for vendors and factories to answer any inquiries and follow-up, communicate any changes or additional details
• Perform any other support duties to ensure that product development activities meet timeline and quality goals set by the supervisor
• Logging and tracking into our tracker sheet for protos and PLM
• Updating tracker and PLM when protos arrive
• Tracking of all essential submits needed throughout the product development process, from both fabric vendors and design
• Receipt and timely facilitation of all fabric header submits from fabric vendors to our design department and PD
• Responsible of all incoming packages
• Assist in preparing daily communication to all vendors regarding the timing and action of all programs ex: proto samples, art work submissions, handlooms, strike offs
• Attend and contribute to product development meetings as needed
• Receiving all protos to make sure all info is updated in SCM
• All styles for each season, swatch headers are to be updated in fabric book on a daily basis
• Interacting daily with design, tech design, buyers and production teams regarding all aspects of the product development process
• Sending out packages to vendors and keeping tracking and making sure vendors are getting in a timely manner
• Protos logged into SCM as received with all information from vendors

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must be entering Senior year or semester of Bachelors (or Masters) degree program with a major in Merchandising, Marketing, Design or similar preferred
• Must possess basic Microsoft and Excel skills
• Knowledge of silhouettes, fabrication, color/print usage, graphics, embellishment layouts, and trim
• Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator preferred
• Highly organized with strong problem-solving skills
• Strong negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal
• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business

Work Schedule

The 2024 Summer Internship at Forever21 is a full-time opportunity of approximately 40 hours per week for a period of 8 weeks. Forever21 currently observes the following hybrid work model for employees at our HQ in DTLA Los Angeles:

• On-site days: Monday thru Friday

The salary for this position is $20.00 per hour. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to position offered and work experience. In addition to your salary, Forever 21, and its affiliated brands, offers a generous employee discount program for interns.
