Intern Program Overview:

Our 8-week paid summer internship program offers hands-on experience through challenging, collaborative and exciting projects intended to address real-time business needs and empowers you to contribute to identifying cutting-edge solutions. Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Senior Production Manager,

the production Intern will provide support including communicating with vendors and Merchants to facilitate a smooth product timeline.

• Maintain an up-to-date department database by receiving, processing, and filing internal paperwork, including data entry and basic data manipulation services
• Keep track of all production reporting requirements, which include time and action, PLM, WIPS and SCM
• Serve as a point of contact for vendors and factories to answer any inquiries and follow-up, communicate any changes or additional details
• Perform any other support duties to ensure PO’s meet timeline and quality goals set by the Production Manager
• Tracking of all essential submits needed throughout the entire production process
• Responsible of all incoming packages
• Assist in preparing daily communication to all vendors regarding the timing and action of all programs ex: proto, marketing, ecom samples, artwork submissions, handlooms, strike offs
• Attend and contribute to the daily production meetings as needed
• Organizing sample closet and ensure samples are filed by season and department
• Interacting daily with merchants, tech design, production development and PO teams regarding all aspects of the product development process
• Bulk comments logged into SCM

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old

• Must be entering Senior year or semester of Bachelors (or Masters) degree program with a major in Merchandising, Marketing, Design or similar preferred
• Must possess basic Microsoft and Excel skills
• Knowledge of silhouettes, fabrication, color/print usage, graphics, embellishment layouts, and trim
• Highly organized with strong problem-solving skills
• Strong negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal
• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business

Work Schedule

The 2024 Summer Internship at Forever21 is a full-time opportunity of approximately 40 hours per week for a period of 8 weeks. Forever21 currently observes the following hybrid work model for employees at our HQ in DTLA Los Angeles: Due to the nature of job responsibilities for this team hybrid schedule flexibility depends on business needs.

Additional Data

The salary for this position is $20.00 per hour. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to position offered and work experience. In addition to your salary, Forever 21, and its affiliated brands, offers a generous employee discount program for interns.
