2024 Summer Intern - Quantitative Systems Pharmacology, Modeling and Simulation Group, Department of Clinical Pharmacology
Department Summary
Our mission is to enable selection of a safe and effective dose, route and regimen for small molecules and biologics by applying the principles of quantitative pharmacology throughout a molecule’s life-cycle. We are seeking a full-time summer intern who is driven to use quantitative approaches to understand the Clinical Pharmacokinetics and Pharmacodynamics (PK/PD) of novel drug candidates.
Quantitative systems pharmacology (QSP) models are increasingly used to support clinical trial decisions. Therefore it is necessary for the model to capture the biological and inter-patient variability in the clinical trial population. During the internship, the intern will familiarize with the current state of the QSP workflow and take part in maturing this workflow, specifically, the novel digital twin methodology to generate the virtual clinical trial population.
This internship position is located in South San Francisco, on site.
