AgWest Farm Credit is actively recruiting college Juniors or Seniors who are interested in exploring a career in the financial services industry with our Tulare, CA Branch. Our Internship Program is designed to provide a realistic job preview and insights to the career opportunities and potential that exists at AgWest, primarily in the areas of lending, credit, and appraisal. Interns work with the branch team to gain hands-on experience in a variety of business areas.

As a member-owned financial cooperative, we help business owners in agriculture, forestry and fisheries secure the financing they need to operate and grow, and the crop insurance they need to protect their livelihoods. Our customers are primarily located in Montana, Idaho, Oregon, Washington, Alaska, Nevada, Arizona and California.

AgWest internships are full-time, paid, and generally last 10 weeks from approximately June through early/mid-August. Interns who need to secure temporary housing (due to the location of their internship) may receive an additional housing stipend. We offer a fun and family-oriented atmosphere, many learning opportunities, and have a jeans/appropriate casual company dress code.

Compensation Information
$19.00 per hour

Minimum Qualifications for AgWest's Internship Program include:

• Current pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Ag Economics, Ag Business, or related field.
• Preference for students entering their Junior or Senior year in Fall of 2024.
• Coursework related to at least one of the following: Finance, Accounting, Economics, Farm and Ranch Management, Business Management, Marketing, and related courses.
• Strong communication, analytical and computer skills, and teamwork demonstrated through involvement in extracurricular activities and / or outside work experience.
• Completion of the online job application which includes providing an up-to-date resume and transcripts (unofficial are okay). Cover letters are recommended though not required.
• An agricultural background is desirable, but not a requirement.
