      JOB OBJECTIVE: (The individual will be responsible for various general labor related functions (clerical, maintenance, etc.)
      The Summer Youth Employment Opportunity (SYEO provides City of Little Rock's youth between the ages of 16-21 (Youth Interns) with paid summer employment, including training, for up to six weeks during the summer months. SYEO also provides training on job readiness, career exploration, financial literacy and opportunities to continue educational and social growth. MUST BE AT LEAST 16 YEARS OLD AND NO OLDER THAN 21 BY JUNE 3, 2024.

      NOTE TO PARENTS: Please ensure that the program participant (youth) completes the application and the supplemental questions. One key purpose of this program is to teach the participant how to apply for a job, participate in training and develop work skills.

      The City of Little Rock reserves the right to close this announcement at any time, without prior notice. There will be approximately 650 job placements available.
      SYEO Intern (Approximately 650 positions):
      Applicants interested in being considered to fill SYEO Intern positions must meet the following requirements:
      • Verified City of Little Rock resident.
      • Between the ages of 16-21 (Youth Interns)
      • Must be at least 16 years old and no older than 21 by June 3, 2024.
