      Dunn County 4-H is dedicated to empowering youth to reach their fill potential by working and learning in partnership with caring adults.       Qualifications:

      May work with youth in unsupervised capacity, so applicants must be at least 18 years old
      Some post-secondary education is preferred.
      Positive attitude and commitment to teamwork in a collaborative environment.
      Employment will require a criminal background check.

      Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

      Values life-long learning and views position as a learning experience.
      Strong organizational and communication skills.
      Ability to work well with adult volunteers and youth.
      Ability to creatively and flexibly solve problems as they arise.
      Ability to be self-directed and self-motivated.
      Ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds.
      Evidence of effective leadership skills in school or community organizations.
      Experience in youth related outreach education preferred.
      Experience with Microsoft Office computer software.

      Position Summary/Job Duties:

      Contribute and deliver programs as a member of the “4-H team”. This team consists of support staff, 4-H Program Educator and 4-H Volunteer Leaders.
      Help promote 4-H through a variety of avenues - social media, print media, radio, newsletters, and in person gatherings.
      Work with overnight and day camp campers and counselors.
      Prepare media releases related to UW-Extension program events and activities.
      Be present at the Dunn County Fair and provide assistance and leadership to educational events as needed.
      Assist in the communication with and coordination of 4-H activities in the UW-Extension office.
      Assist in UW-Extension additional short term programming as opportunities arise.
      Prepare materials and make connections to promote 4-H throughout the county for the upcoming 4-H year.
      Develop an activities summary at the conclusion of the summer that records participation and outcome evaluation.

      Physical Demands:

      Position includes both sedentary computer work and physically active (including outdoors) work.
