      About the Role

      Our 10-week Gap Inc. Summer Internship Program offers meaningful work experiences across various business areas, allowing you to deepen your functional knowledge and immerse yourself in the fast-paced retail industry. You’ll work on projects that directly impact our bottom line and present your work to senior management, while also participating in company events like executive speaker series and off-site activities. Upon completion of the internship, successful interns will be well-positioned for full time roles after they graduate.

      The HR Generalist Interns will gain exposure to the critical responsibility of providing HR business support and partnership that results in an engaged workforce and a more productive business. You will assist in supporting the execution of people strategies, responding to day-to-day HR activities, supporting the HR team in developing and executing talent management strategies and partnering with key Gap Inc. HR solution centers (Talent Management, Employee Relations, Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, Equality & Belonging, etc.) to deliver results against the people strategies.

      Salary Range: $35.00 - $37.00 Per Hour

      What You'll Do

      • Provide support to the HR team on people and organizational issues throughout the organization, leveraging resources, programs and tools to achieve desired outcomes

      • Actively participate with leaders to advise on people and organization impact of business plans and decisions

      • Research and identify strategies to improve employee engagement year over year, as measured through the continuous listening process

      • Analyze HR metrics to identify business opportunities working with leadership to develop and implement solutions

      • Support talent management and succession planning activities within the business

      • Partner with HR partners in Talent Acquisition and Talent Management to support strategies to strengthen or fill gaps, as needed, to ensure a ready now talent pipeline

      • Assist team with retention strategies to promote organizational stability

      Who You Are

      • Bachelor’s degree in progre ss . C oncentration in human resources management, psychology preferred

      • Must be in your Junior academic year graduating in December 202 5 and Spring 202 6

      • Ability to work Monday – Friday from mid-June to mid- August

      • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ability to learn technical applications, terminology, and processes quickly

      • Comfort with HR disciplines (employee relations, compensation, benefits, OD, talent management, talent acquisition)

      • High level of personal and professional integrity and ethics (authentic, compassionate, genuine and honest); good communicator; good listening skills and problem solver

      • Ability to assess situations and analyze data to make judgments and recommend talent solutions

      • Self-starter attitude with an ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment

      • Strong intellectual curiosity & s eeks out new ways of learning in complex situations

      • Effective oral and written communication skills
