      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Manage the Endowment's grant programs in the Latin America and Caribbean (LAC) region, including project oversight and evaluation
      - Monitor political developments in the LAC region to inform strategies and programming
      - Build and maintain relationships with like-minded organizations and regional partners
      - Conduct regular field visits to monitor grantees and assess funding opportunities
      - Evaluate the effectiveness of grantee programs and provide funding recommendations

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Bachelor's degree in International Affairs, Political Science, International Development, or a related discipline; Master's degree preferred
      - Minimum of 2 years of experience in democracy-related projects and programs
      - 1+ years of living and working in the LAC region
      - Full professional fluency in Spanish; knowledge of Portuguese, French, or Haitian Creole a plus
      - Strong analytical skills and ability to maintain professionalism under pressure

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Experience in nonprofit work and financial monitoring/reporting
      - In-depth understanding of political issues and trends in the LAC region, particularly Cuba or Venezuela
      - Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
      - Demonstrated ability to work as a team player with strong coordination and facilitation skills
