      Peckham Inc. - 3PL Kitting - General Assembly

      SUMMARY

      Will work in a large warehouse environment. This entry level position is responsible for the accurate assembly of kitted materials. Duties vary and include the following: sorting, weighing, aligning, folding, bagging, labeling, packing, stocking, and organizing materials. Accuracy is extremely important, but speed is also a factor.

      DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

      • Reports any discrepancies in orders to Shipping and Receiving Supervisor.
      • Meets established deadlines.
      • Maintain warehouse equipment by following manufacturer’s standards of use and cleaning.
      • Work with supervisor towards meeting performance standards.
      • Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
      • Be able to complete all steps of assembly process which includes weighing, stuffing and plunging.
      • Picking and preparing items for outbound shipments
      • Assembling or dissembling kits including bagging and tagging.
      • Sorting inbound shipments
      • Utilize scale to hit a specific number range.
      • Use chart to adjust weights by adding or subtracting.
      • Ability to set a scale and zero out a scale as needed.
      • Labeling bags, packaging plungers, and occasional re-work.
      • Use jig for holding dowel as needed.
      • Ability to take direction.
      • Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
      • Other related duties as assigned.

      MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

      • At least 18 years old.
      • Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds on a frequent basis.
      • Have good number recognition.
      • Able to read numbers on a chart and scale.
      • Fine motor ability and dexterity to work with fiberglass and small parts.
      • Ability to meet daily production goals.
      • Must have reliable transportation.
      • Must be able to gain and maintain the necessary security clearances.
      • Basic English reading and writing skills.
      • Basic math, ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
