- Check work orders and blueprints for part specifications and daily production quantities.
- Set up the machine every day for production.
- Load metal sheets into the Brake Press and form/bend the metal as required.
- Operate various equipment including Fiber Laser, Die Stamp, spot welder, assembly, finishing, sanding, and punch press.
- Inspect each piece of metal visually and physically to ensure it meets specifications.
- Use micrometers, calipers, and tape measures for precision measurements.
- Lift 40+ lbs daily.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Proficiency in machine operation.
- Experience using micrometers and calipers.
- At least 1 year of experience operating a machine and using micrometers and calipers.
- Experience with Laser, press brake, TIG welding, Punch press, and fabrication.
- Proficiency with tape measure and CNC operations.
- 1 year of experience running a press.

Job Description
As a 3rd Shift Machine Operator, you will check the work order and blueprint to determine the part and quantity needed for daily production. You may also operate other equipment such as Fiber Laser, Die Stamp, spot welder, assembly, finishing, sanding, and punch press. You will visually and physically inspect each piece of metal to ensure it meets specifications, using tools like micrometers, calipers, and tape measures, while lifting 40+ lbs daily.

Work Environment
This is a 3rd shift position, working from 10 PM to 6 AM, Sunday night to Friday morning, with an expectation of 5-10 hours of overtime. The facility is huge, with over 300 people in the fabrication department across 3 shifts. It is one of the nicest and cleanest climate-controlled shops in Wisconsin, featuring an onsite health clinic and a great break room. You will work alongside 2-3 other employees, each operating their own machine in a pod.

This is a Contract position based out of Madison, Wisconsin.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $27.00/hr.
