      Job Description

      Our contractor will handle both emergency work and preventative maintenance as needed. These positions are on 2nd & 3rd shift, 11:00pm to 7:30am Sunday - Thursday with a 30-minute lunch break. Expect about an hour of overtime daily and work every other Saturday. The primary responsibility is to ensure production runs smoothly and efficiently. Strong electrical troubleshooting skills are essential.

      • Maintain and repair baggers, pipes, augers, conveyor belts, food fillers, sealers, freezers, inkjet printers, etc.
      • Perform emergency repairs and preventative maintenance on production equipment.
      • Work directly with hydraulics and pneumatics, including repairing cylinders and solenoids.
      • Use blueprints to identify line placements.
      • Handle electrical issues, with a 70/30 mechanical vs. electrical work split.
      • Ensure mechanical and physical integrity of production equipment.
      • Reduce production downtime due to mechanical failure.
      • Complete preventative maintenance measures on time.
      • Assist mechanics in machine repair and troubleshooting.
      • Assist 1st shift production departments for timely setups.
      • Properly and safely use maintenance shop equipment.
      • Complete projects efficiently and safely.
      • Follow all safety and housekeeping procedures.
      • Perform other duties as assigned.
      • Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
      • Bend, twist, and work in confined spaces as necessary.

      Essential Skills

      • Experience repairing hydraulics and pneumatics.
      • Industrial maintenance experience with conveyors.
      • Electrical repairs and troubleshooting 480volt/3phase.
      • Team mentality and upbeat positive outlook.
      • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.

      Additional Skills & Qualifications

      • Food manufacturing maintenance experience.
      • Additional PLC experience is a plus.

      Work Environment

      Work in a food manufacturing facility that meets all FDA requirements. The facility is clean, well-air-conditioned, and mostly temperature controlled at 55 degrees. Some areas are cooler (35 degrees) and a few freezers are 0 to -10 degrees. Standard steel-toed boots with liquid resistance are sufficient. Enjoy a supportive team environment where employees look out for each other and assist as needed.

      Pay and Benefits

      The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $67600.00/yr.
