What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Perform remediation of PDFs and other digital documents to ensure compliance with ADA, Section 508, and WCAG 2.2 guidelines using Adobe Acrobat and Common Look
- Analyze and audit websites and digital content for accessibility compliance, providing detailed reports and recommendations for remediation
- Test digital documents and web content using screen reading technologies like JAWS and NVDA
- Collaborate with teams to ensure accessibility standards are integrated into projects and provide comprehensive accessibility reports and updates
- Provide training and support to team members on accessibility best practices, document remediation, and the use of accessibility tools
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in graphic design, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; equivalent work experience may be considered
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in document remediation
- Experience working with Adobe Acrobat and accessibility tools (e.g., Common Look)
- Experience using screen reading technology (JAWS, NVDA)
- Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with graphic design and editing software like Adobe Photoshop
- Previous experience analyzing or auditing websites for accessibility compliance
- Eligibility for a Common Access Card (CAC)
