Overview

A busy family of 4 is seeking a full-time chef for their home in Key Biscayne, FL. The children, ages 16 and 12 are both competitive athletes. The 12-year-old is diabetic and requires diabetic-friendly food and snacks. Ideally, the chef will be able to prepare diabetic-friendly meals that the whole family can enjoy. They favor a paleo diet, but have a broad palate, except for cheese, which should be limited. The general schedule will be Monday through Friday with lunch being served at 12pm and dinner being served at 6pm. This position is open to local candidates only. Looking to hire ASAP!

Responsibilities

• Grocery shopping and keeping the home stocked with staples
• Kitchen and pantry organization including checking expiration dates
• Family has a housekeeper, but the chef should keep a clean and tidy kitchen
• Preparation of lunch and dinner Monday through Friday, including grab-and-go snacks

Qualifications

• Prior experience with diabetic-friendly and paleo cuisines
• Ability to be creative with culinary options to avoid mundane menus
• Pleasant and professional demeanor
• Excellent time management and interpersonal skills

Requirements

• Food handlers certificate preferred but not required
• Within reasonable commuting distance to Key Biscayne
• Experience in a private home
• Legal to work in the U.S.

Salary and Benefits

The family is offering an annual salary of $130k, with negotiable benefits to be determined
