What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct benefit verification research and initiate pharmacy claims for patient access
- Follow up on prior authorizations and appeals to ensure timely patient access to medications
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to complete necessary documentation for prior authorizations and financial assistance
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding prior authorization and appeal outcomes
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information

What is Required (Qualifications):
- 2+ years of experience in Pharmacy Claims Processing, Benefit Verification, or Prior Authorization in an insurance or pharmacy setting
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy benefit structures and prior authorization processes
- Ability to accurately follow directions and thoroughly research prescription insurance coverage
- Proficient in using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems or databases

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Valid license, registration, and/or certification to practice as a Pharmacy Technician
- Experience in specialty pharmacy and pharmacy accreditation
- Previous work history in a matrixed environment or call center
- Strong customer service skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
- Willingness to learn and participate in quality improvement activities
