What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Collect and resolve payments from insurance companies, utilizing established policies and procedures
- Execute the denial appeals process, including documentation, tracking, and resolving appeals with third-party payers
- Prepare and submit reports as required while identifying ongoing problems related to health system departments and contracts
- Provide feedback and process improvement ideas to management regarding identified issues
- Ensure all payer contact is documented in the appropriate software application and claims are crossed over to secondary insurances

What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of 2 years of collection experience
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations and possess high-level problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, when interacting with patients, families, and professionals
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in a healthcare-related field or revenue cycle management
- Familiarity with PC applications and healthcare billing software
- Demonstrated ability to work in a high-stress atmosphere while managing multiple priorities
