- Assist in the preparation of federal, state, local, and international tax returns (sales and use, corporate income, franchise, property, VAT) including workpaper preparation and review
- Prepare calculations for estimated tax payments, extensions, and other necessary filings
- Participate in the monthly financial close process by recording journal entries and ensuring tax transactions are properly recorded and reconciled
- Coordinate with CPA firms to prepare and file VAT reporting for our foreign subsidiaries accurately and on time
- Conduct thorough research and analysis of tax laws and regulations and assess their impact on the company
- Assist in implementing strategies and solutions in response to new and changing tax rules
- Collaborate with external consultants to prepare/review income tax accounting under ASC 740
- Assess and monitor the Company’s nexus footprint and physical presence tests
- Participate in tax audits and communicate with tax authorities
- Work on IRC 41 (R&D credits), IRC 382 and other special projects
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, legal, and other departments on tax-related matters
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Tax, Finance, or a related field
- Basic understanding of federal, state, and local tax regulations and compliance requirements
- 1+ years of experience in tax accounting or a similar role; active CPA license is preferred but not required
- Highly proficient with Excel (logical and referential formulas, pivots)
- Strong analytical skills with a high level of accuracy
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with colleagues and external stakeholders
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and adapt to changing regulations
- A team player attitude with a proactive and problem-solving mindset
- Ability to drive results through your job competencies of risk and compliance, attention to detail and decision making

Every team member is required to have a career plan in place, to be reviewed with their manager after six months in our team.
The starting pay range for this role is $60,000 - $80,000 per annum.

NAVEX is seeking a Tax Accountant to join our corporate finance team.
