      The Accounting Manager will work with the Controller and Accounting Team and is responsible for the day-to-day general accounting functions within the accounting team. The Accounting Manager will report to the Controller.

      What you’ll do:

      • Mentor and develop accounting staff, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellent internal customer service.
      • Leverage your team's strengths to meet business objectives.
      • Resolve personnel issues fairly and timely.
      • Maintain and enhance internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
      • Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and regulatory standards.
      • Drive continuous process improvements to deliver results more efficiently and with higher accuracy.
      • Become the subject matter expert in all things accounting operations at francesca's.
      • Partner with cross-functional teams to answer questions and solve problems.
      • Spearhead the annual audit.
      • Assist with the annual field audit.
      • Automate bank reconciliations in Sage Intacct.
      • Oversee sales tax, revenue, lease accounting
      • Other duties as assigned.

      What you bring:

      • A genuine passion for managing people - you're happiest when supporting your staff.
      • An appreciation for diverse backgrounds.
      • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent.
      • A minimum of 8 years’ experience in general accounting with 3 years' people management experience.
      • The view that all members of the organization are stakeholders and should be treated as such.
      • Experience in retail preferred.
      • Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP.
      • Intermediate to expert in Excel, Teams and Outlook
      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
      • Able to put information into context based on the audience.
      • Excellent organizational, planning and priority setting skills.
      • Self-motivated and enthusiastic team player
      • Detail oriented
      • High level of confidentiality
      • Functions well in a fast-paced work environment
