- Oversee the activities of the accounting department, which includes managing the day-to-day activities of accounts payable, cash disbursements, invoicing/billing, customer credits and collections, cash application, payroll, inventory integrity and fixed asset records.
- Lead month end and year end accounting close process
- Prepare and publish timely monthly and quarterly financial statements as well as weekly financial and key KPI data. Additionally, provide insight into what drives the reported financial results. Analyze month over month and year over year account variances, to provide business insight for Financial Reporting
- Actively participate in the cross functional finance team
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
- Lead efforts, in conjunction with our IT Managed Services Provider and ERP firm, to enhance the use of the ERP to develop and improve internal controls to include inventory management, process control, CGS, activity-based costing.
- Collaborate with operations to determine and set the activity-based cost of manufactured products.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve accounting department efficiency
- Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting and ensure compliance with local, state and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
- Coordinate preparation and response on the annual audit
- Supervise, evaluate and develop the accounting team members [Tracie].
- Review and process the Lombardi weekly payroll, control the master file data, maintain employee garnishment records and facilitate garnishment payments related to the weekly payrolls, ensure proper recording of insurance and benefits.
- Execute monthly journal entries related to, but not limited to, the monthly account reconciliations
- Perform monthly account reconciliations for accounts related to, but limited to, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, accrued liabilities, A/R clearing accounts, loans payables, and capital leases
- Reconcile monthly benefit statements (health, dental, vision insurance, etc.) and collaborate with Human Resources to manage anomalies
- Assist in the creation, implementation, and maintenance of the Finance Department’s policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures
- Utilize payroll records to submit reporting and facilitate payments for 401K, H.S.A., Worker’s Compensation, and others
- Aid with front desk tasks including directing phone and lobby traffic, general invoicing, and a host of miscellaneous tasks, as needed

The Accounting Manager is a key manager for Lombardi Brothers Meats, and collaborates with the finance department with Seattle Fish Company, You will be responsible for leading all accounting functions for Lombardi Brothers Meats specifically, and with the finance team at Seattle Fish, supporting the aggressive and successful growth plans of the company. Through a constructive, analytic, structured, and process oriented approach, the Accounting Manager provides the leadership and management, to deliver a focus on quality books and records, internal controls, cost control, and financial insight.

Compensation:
$80,000-$90,000 with 10% STIP
