      Description

      Position Title: Accounting Manager

      Reports To: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

      Location: Nashville (hybrid, 2-3 days in office per week)

      Employment Type: Full-time

      Position Overview

      The Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily financial operations of the company, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with healthcare industry regulations, and supporting strategic financial initiatives. This role will work closely with the CFO and cross-functional teams to support financial planning and analysis, management of audits, preparation of tax returns, and enhance financial controls to support our mission of delivering high-quality healthcare services nationally. Additionally, the Accounting Manager will provide heavy review of and assist with month-end close.

      Qualifications

      · Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred).

      · Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.

      · Strong knowledge of GAAP, healthcare financial regulations, and compliance requirements.

      · Experience in the healthcare industry, with an understanding of revenue cycle management, reimbursements, and third-party payers (Medicare, Medicaid, private insurers).

      · Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage Intacct, NetSuite, Quick Books) and advanced Excel skills.

      · Exceptional leadership, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

      · Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and present financial insights to executive leadership.

      · Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

      Key Responsibilities

      · Oversee and manage the accounting function, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and financial reporting.

      · Lead month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements in accordance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.

      · Develop, implement, and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with healthcare industry standards.

      · Collaborate with the CFO to develop financial strategies, forecasts, and budgets aligned with the Company’s growth objectives.

      · Manage and mentor accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, professional development, and accountability.

      · Coordinate and oversee audits, including external financial audits and regulatory compliance reviews.

      · Prepare and analyze financial reports to provide insights and recommendations to the Executive Team.

      · Optimize accounting systems and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.

      · Liaise with external partners, including auditors, tax consultants, and financial institutions.

      · Stay informed about healthcare industry trends, regulatory changes, and financial best practices to support business objectives.
