      Position Overview:

      We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Accounting Manager to join the team of one of our prestigious legal clients as their next permanent/full time leader. You will lead the month-end close process, manage consolidation for our corporate entities and portfolio companies, and oversee critical financial reporting functions. As a key member of the accounting and finance team, you will drive the implementation of technical accounting standards, support acquisitions, and ensure consistent, accurate reporting across all entities. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with a deep technical accounting background and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

      Responsibilities:

      • Lead and prepare the month-end close process for corporate entities and portfolio companies to ensure timely, accurate reporting
      • Manage the monthly consolidation process and prepare consolidated financial statements and disclosures for the annual audit
      • Lead purchase accounting for acquisitions, including accounting for goodwill, intangibles, and other purchase-related items
      • Implement and maintain adherence to technical accounting standards (e.g., GAAP), including preparing position memos for complex accounting matters
      • Oversee the annual audit process, liaise with external auditors, and prepare financial statements and disclosures
      • Work with newly acquired portfolio companies to transition them into our financial systems and ensure seamless integration
      • Track weekly Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to monitor financial performance and prepare ad-hoc reporting to support M&A activities
      • Support annual budgeting and forecasting to achieve financial goals
      • Standardize accounting processes across portfolio companies to enhance operational efficiency and consistency
      • Manage the company's AP platform (Ramp) to ensure timely processing and accurate reporting
      • Design and implement internal controls leveraging technology to mitigate risk while supporting business efficiency

      Qualifications:

      • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
      • Active CPA required
      • Minimum of 5 years of experience, including 3+ years in public accounting at a top-tier firm
      • Strong expertise in financial reporting, consolidation, and technical accounting, with experience in well-defined month-end close processes
      • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; experience with ERP platforms like Sage Intacct is a plus
      • Demonstrated experience in purchase accounting (ASC 805), revenue recognition (ASC 606), and lease accounting (ASC 842)
      • Proven ability to write GAAP position papers and implement required changes
      • Strong audit and compliance expertise, with experience managing the audit process
      • Ability to design repeatable, well-documented processes with a focus on continuous improvement
      • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset

      Pay

      • $130,000 - $160,000 /year

      • 100% REMOTE initally, then later HYBRID

      Monday - Friday
