SUMMARY: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Manager to join our finance team. This role will be responsible for overseeing accounts payable activities including invoice processing and payment.
QUALIFICATIONS: Education: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Experience: - 5+ years of progressive experience in Accounts Payable, with at least 2 years in supervisory/ management role.
- Good organizational skills with demonstrated ability to prioritize workload
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, attention to detail.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with the proven ability to communicate with all levels including management and external parties
- NetSuite experience is strongly preferred (not required)
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Manage and oversee the accounts payable team, provide guidance and support to AP staff
- Review and approve invoices, ensuring proper coding, authorization and documentation
- Coordinate with Purchasing to resolve invoice discrepancies in a timely manner
- Manage preparation and processing of payment files, including check runs, ACH and wire transfers
- Work closely with the General Ledger Team to handle month-end accruals
- Monitor Accounts Payable Aging, handle vendor inquiries and resolve any issue promptly
- Maintain and update vendor master, including verification of federal identification numbers; develop 1099 tax forms and ensure compliance to regulations
- Lead process improvement initiatives to streamline accounts payable processes and enhance efficiency
- Perform special projects as required
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT: - Prolonged periods of sitting or standing at a desk
- Frequently required to use hands and fingers to operate a computer, keyboard or standard office equipment.
