Job Description

- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounts payable department, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, expense reports, and payments.
- Lead and mentor the AP team (provide training, conduct regular performance evaluations, workflow assignments, etc.)
- Monitor and manage the workload distribution among team members and business cycle productivity
- Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers, address inquiries, and resolve any discrepancies in a professional and timely manner
- Executes continuous process improvements for accounts payable systems, writing procedures, and policies to improve efficiency
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports and analysis related to accounts payable, contributing to accurate financial statements to support reporting, metric review, or general inquiries
- Manage internal relationships with operations, perform inter-company reconciliations
- Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and internal controls in the accounts payable and expense reporting processes
- Review and verify invoices for accuracy, completeness, and compliance
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers by addressing payment inquiries or discrepancies promptly
- Manage internal relationships with operations, perform inter-company reconciliations
- Issue checks, ACH payments and occasional international wires
- Manage the 1099-NEC, INT, and MISC filing process
- Manage the Accounts Payable service queue, handling any escalations
- Collaborate with Operations and Accounting peers to ensure any issues are being addressed
- Research discrepancies of financial information and/or documentation (e.g., purchase orders, vendors, invoices, etc.) to ensure accuracy and adherence to procedures prior to processing
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting is preferred
- 7-10 years of Accounts Payable experience
- 3-5 years of management experience, preferably in a large, high volume environment
- Extensive knowledge of accounting and management principles and accounts payable procedures
- Previous vendor and/or account reconciliation experience (Unvouched Receipts, Goods Receipt vs. Invoice Received reconciliation, open payables discounts aging analysis, vendor open balances, accruals, etc.).
- Motivation to develop and maintain internal and external relationships
- Microsoft Suite experience (Dynamics 365, Outlook, Teams, Excel)
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organization, planning and problem-solving skills
- Ability to analyze information and processes
- Proven skils to prioritize, multitask and meet deadlines while working well under pressure
- Travel Requirement 10%

The Purpose:
We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to lead the development of our Accounts Payable Team. As our Accounts Payable Manager, you will be critical to our organization's success while ensuring all financial obligations to vendors, suppliers, and other entities are accurately processed and paid in a timely manner. In addition, you will manage, coach, and develop your team of AP Specialists to assist with their growth and development. This is an exciting opportunity where you will be able to showcase your leadership skills while developing and redefining our AP department and building strategy to help us scale.
