What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage the accounts payable function, ensuring accurate and timely processing of bills and payments
- Develop scalable processes and policies to support departmental goals and key metrics
- Maintain and improve the travel and procurement platform, ensuring compliance with employee policies
- Cultivate and maintain strong vendor relationships, resolving discrepancies and issues promptly
- Provide accounting support for month-end closing procedures and assist with audits
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; CPA is a plus
- Several years of experience in accounts payable, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and accounts payable best practices
- Experience with accounts payable and travel & expense software (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks)
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Certified Accounts Payable Professional (CAPP) credential
- Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification
- Experience managing outsourced accounting staff across different time zones
