- Monitor accounts receivable aging and proactively follow up on overdue accounts.
- Track AR balances including unapplied cash, customer prepayments, and credit notes.
- Perform account reconciliations and ensure ledger accuracy.
- Coordinate with Sales and Customer Support to resolve billing or collection issues.
- Develop and manage effective collection strategies, including negotiating with customers.
- Analyze collection trends and recommend process enhancements.
- Generate accurate and timely customer invoices in line with contract terms and billing schedules.
- Review and resolve billing discrepancies to ensure prompt cash flow.
- Reconcile sales tax activity between Avalara and D365 monthly, lead and support sales tax audits.
- Monitor and manage Finance queue tickets in Zendesk, ensuring prompt resolution.
- Create and keep SOPs for ticket handling; track turnaround times and recommend improvements.
- Collaborate with the Controller and CFO on customer credit limit reviews and credit term approvals.
- Find opportunities to streamline AR and collection processes.
- Implement best practices and ensure compliance with internal accounting policies and procedures.
- Supervise and mentor AR staff, providing training, support, and professional development.
- Foster a collaborative, solutions-focused team environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in accounts receivable or a similar role, including 3+ years in a leadership position.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and AR best practices.
- Proficient in ERP systems (Microsoft D365 preferred) and intermediate Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, etc.)
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and lead a team effectively.

We are the North American division of world-renown Metrohm AG (Herisau, Switzerland), an industry leader in laboratory instruments and accessories for analytical testing/research. We are looking for an Accounting Manager – Accts Receivable (AR Mgr) to join our team at the NAHQ in Riverview, FL.
We are looking for a meticulous and strategic Accounting Manager to lead our AR operations and team. This role is critical in ensuring accurate invoicing, prompt collections, and strong customer relationships. The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of AR processes, an initiative-taking mindset, and a passion for continuous improvement.
This is an office-based role. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite full-time for the first six (6) months. After this initial period, a hybrid work schedule may be considered based on performance and business needs.
