What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Follow up on unpaid claims and utilize aging reports to ensure maximum reimbursement
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with providers, clients, patients, and staff
- Perform data entry of patient demographics, insurance information, and payment processing
- Prepare and submit insurance claims, including filing appeals for denied claims
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA guidelines in handling patient information

What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 1+ years of healthcare billing accounts receivable experience in a mid to large organization
- Hands-on knowledge of CPT and ICD codes
- Excellent communication, organizational, and mathematical skills
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Associate’s degree in Healthcare Management or related field
- Experience working in a medical office
- CPAR – Certified Patient Account Representative certification
- Experience with Epic or eClinicalWorks
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
