What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Accurately and timely follow up on unpaid and underpaid claims, determining reasons for denials and reprocessing claims for payment
- Research and identify root causes of denial trends, providing recommendations to prevent future issues
- Perform accurate write-offs for uncollectible accounts in accordance with company policies
- Participate in team meetings to share insights on denial trends and contribute to workflow improvements
- Meet established productivity and quality metrics, regularly reviewing performance with supervisors
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Graduate/GED required; technical school or associate degree preferred
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience working in healthcare revenue cycle
- Knowledge of healthcare billing, including CPT/ICD-10 coding and various insurance claim requirements
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong computer literacy skills
