What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Ensure all claims are billed to insurance companies accurately and timely
- Review EOBs to ensure appropriate payment and appeal any incorrect payments
- Obtain necessary information from patients and providers for proper billing
- Manage accounts and make phone calls to payers for status updates
- Resubmit claims as needed and provide records or further direction to payers/patients

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 1+ years of direct electronic medical billing and collections experience
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills with the ability to work under pressure
- Familiarity with ICD-10, CPT coding, and HCFA 1500 claim forms, along with knowledge of Texas payers
- Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Dependable and able to work independently while prioritizing and multitasking efficiently

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with rejected claims, denials, and appeals
- Experience with ABA billing
- Experience writing denial letters
- General understanding of medical language
