Job Title: ACE After School Program - John F. Kennedy Temporary, Part Time) Wage/Hour Status: $14.00/hour $19.00/hour with Bachelor's Degree Reports to: Bear Center Site Coordinator Hours: 3:30 to 6:00 p.m. Monday to Thursday Primary Purpose: The ACE After School Program staff works directly with students at the assigned campus, and is responsible for providing both academic and enrichment support for the students served. After School Program staff report directly to the Site Coordinator at the assigned campus. Continuation of this position is dependent upon annual funding at the assignment campus. Qualifications: Education/Certification: High school diploma or GED Special Knowledge/Skills: Exhibits knowledge of curriculum and instruction Uses effective teaching strategies and techniques. Presents a positive role model. Works and relates positively with others. Communicates effectively in oral and written forms. Instructional Support: Designs and implements learning strategies to improve fundamental or developing skills in reading and math. Provides additional reinforcement and practice of skill deficiencies and acquisition in reading and math through small group instruction using alternative methods and materials/equipment. Provide personalized assessment-based instruction and more time and practice on identified skills, concepts, and strategies. Tracks and charts student progress by reporting achievement and assessment scores. Cares for and maintains materials and equipment at the assigned facility. Communicates effectively with students, teachers, staff, and parents. Plans enrichment activities for students. Supervises students during dinner and homework time. Create and maintain part-time service schedule to meet the needs to eligible students at the campus. Demonstrates initiative and follow through in the performance of duties.
