Job Description

- Provides direct treatment, rehabilitative and supportive services in a community setting to clients served on the Assertive Community Team (ACT) Team.
- Work as a team member of an ACT clinical team to assess client needs and wants, participate in the development of individual service plans, act as a client advocate and liaison with families and community agencies.
- Serve as the team’s lead client advocate and mentor.
- Be a self-disclosed mental health member and is willing to provide a client’s perspective of the team’s service provision.
- Be a liaison between multiple parties.

- Education/Experience:
- GED/High school diploma with a minimum of 1.5 years of behavioral health experience or,
- An associates degree in the field of behavioral, or
- A bachelor's degree (not in the field of behavioral health) and 1 year of behavioral health experience, or
- A bachelor's degree in the field of behavioral, or
- A master's degree or higher in the field of behavioral health
- Peer Support Certification (Required)
- Three years working as a Peer Support Specialist preferred.
- Behavioral Health recipient in recovery for at least 1 – 3 years and/or first-hand experience with family members with serious mental illness and/or chronic disease
- Must have valid Arizona driver’s license, be 21 years of age with minimum 4 years driving experience and meet requirements of Terros Health’s driving policy
- Must have a valid Level 1 Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card or apply for one within 7 working days of employment
- Must understand and utilize a recovery approach and philosophy
- Exemplify great customer service and motivational skills
- Good communication skills, evidenced by a non-judgmental approach, effective listening and positive interactions
- Must be able to work on a computer and tablet in Microsoft Office, with electronic medical records and in NextGen
- Provide services in a clinical setting and in the community, as well as weekend and holiday coverage
Must be in compliance with Terros Health’s policy for COVID-19 vaccination

Responsibilities
Terros Health is hiring an ACT Peer Support Specialist for our 23rd Ave Health Center in Phoenix, AZ.
Additional $2/hour ACT differential pay
Full-Time, Employed
Bachelor’s Degree in Behavioral Health preferred (not requierd)
State Peer Support Certification required - we can help you obtain this upon hire!
Bilingual in Spanish is a plus (Additional Language Differential Pay Available)
Must have very flexible schedule as this team provides treatment 7 days/week, including weekends and holidays
On-call and mileage reimbursement pay available
