      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Develop actuarially sound capitation rates and conduct actuarial analysis for the agency
      - Review accuracy of information from reporting departments and managed care programs
      - Implement and update diagnosis-based risk adjustment models for programs
      - Conduct complex actuarial studies and prepare comprehensive reports
      - Assist in the attainment of actuarial credentials, such as Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA)

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Bachelor's degree in mathematics, actuarial science, finance, economics, or statistics
      - Two years of experience in financial analysis or capitation rate setting, or one or more actuarial examinations passed
      - Knowledge of federal regulations relating to Medicaid and Medicare
      - Strong analytical ability to analyze complex data and draw valid conclusions
      - Excellent verbal and written communication skills

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Experience with Medicaid managed health care
      - Membership in the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA) and either Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) or Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA)
