What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Develop actuarially sound capitation rates and conduct actuarial analysis for the agency
- Review accuracy of information from other reporting departments and managed care programs
- Implement and update diagnosis-based risk adjustment models for Medicaid programs
- Assist in the preparation of accurate and comprehensive actuarial reports
- Progress towards attaining an actuarial credential (Associate of the Society of Actuaries)

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, actuarial science, finance, economics, or statistics
- Experience in financial analysis or capitation rate setting, or completion of one or more actuarial examinations
- Membership in the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA) for actuaries
- Knowledge of federal regulations relating to Medicaid and Medicare
- Strong analytical and communication skills

- Experience with Medicaid managed health care
