Undergraduates currently in their penultimate or final year of a university degree with strong mathematical/statistical or Finance content and on course for at least a 2:1 Honours degree or equivalent.
Interested in a career as an Actuary.
Available full time between June – August 2024.
Highly motivated, with the drive and stamina to act on your own initiative.
Proficient in MS Excel and Word.
Able to analyse and interpret large amounts of complex data. Must be a team player with strong attention to detail and an analytical approach.

Actuarial Intern (Summer 2024)
12 week placement

The Finance department has responsibility for the modelling, calculation, analysis and management of all of the capital reporting figures for Scottish Equitable plc. and the consolidation of these for Aegon UK as a whole . It is also responsible for capital methodology , recommending actuarial assumptions based on experience analysis, and for with-profits management and a wide range of corporate initiatives. The Investment solutions team help transform the experience Aegon delivers, helping grow our Strategic Partners' businesses and the outcomes we deliver to our customers. Through analysis of market research, we make improvements to our range of investment solutions whilst also driving innovation to bring our customers the best investment solutions in an ever-changing world.
We are hiring 6-8 interns to work in the Finance department for summer 2024 . This 12-week internship will provide successful candidates with the opportunity to gain a basic knowledge and understanding of actuarial work through hands-on involvement in Aegon UK’s Finance department or wider Investment Solutions team.
