- Req#: 442673
- Create, maintain, validate and reconcile exposure and claims data to be ready for analysis/modelling.
- Build insight using this data to identify trends and patterns to inform actions supporting line of business strategy.
- Provide actuarial analysis to support the assessment of claims reserves required for the Commercial Motor line of business.
- Automating less judgement-sensitive monitoring and methods to focus on key value-adding investigations, new methodology and assumption calibrations.
- Consider how claims, pricing, underwriting and market developments across AXA Insurance and the UK insurance sector influence performance and claims development patterns.
- Use your skillset to suggest and provide analysis that supports the strategy in respect of the Commercial Motor business line. We are always looking for innovative ways to improve what we do.
- Provide actuarial analysis to support the assessment of capital requirement in respect of claims risks to support the delivery of the internal capital model.
- Take ownership and responsibility for work delivery.
- Interact effectively and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent numerical and mathematical skills: 2.1 degree or higher in a mathematics, statistics or other numerate degree such as physics or engineering.
- Ability to demonstrate high levels of problem-solving skills and initiative.
- Effective communication skills to help establish a network within AXA and explain actuarial concepts to non-actuaries.
- Continuous appetite to learn and develop skills.
- Ability to plan and prioritise own work with a high level of attention to detail.
- Embrace teamwork by supporting and respecting others.
- Ability to deliver under tight deadlines whilst maintaining reliability and accuracy.
- Proficiency in the use of MS Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Working towards an Actuarial qualification, making good progress in the relevant examinations is an advantage.
- Experience of General insurance and/or reserving is preferred.
- Knowledge and experience of modelling techniques and computer languages such as Python, SAS or Excel VBA.
- Competitive annual salary of up to £60,000 dependent on experience

!*!We now have a fantastic opportunity for a full-time Actuarial Analyst to be part of a highly regarded Actuarial team at AXA UK. You would be responsible for providing technical support (reserving, capital modelling and performance monitoring) in respect of insurance risk for the Commercial Non - Motor line of business. You’ll have the opportunity to work with a number of different business areas, including Pricing, Claims & Underwriting, Capital Modelling, Risk Management and Business Finance.
