Excellent written communication skills, including the ability to efficiently and correctly explain technical concepts to students with little to no experience.
Ability to break down complex concepts into smaller, more digestible components.
Ability to discern topics that are most critical for students to be able to obtain employment in a given subject matter.
Self-awareness, openness to daily feedback, and willingness to grow/change in response to student and organizational needs.
2-years experience working in a role directly related to the subject matter.
6+ months experience teaching (preferred) OR experience presenting technical talks, workshops, or tutorials at conferences, meetups, or schools OR tutoring, mentorship, or management experience.
Self-taught developer, Bootcamp grad, or equivalent degree
Typical office setting / Remote.
Access information using a computer.
Effectively communicate, both up and down the management chain.
Effectively cope with stressful situations.
Strong mental acuity.
Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this job.

This temporary, part-time, Adjunct Subject Matter Expert at the SEI Coding Schools will provide supplemental guidance and industry knowledge in order to create content and to guide the program curriculum team.
Time commitment of 5 - 20 hours a week with some availability for meetings during business hours Pacific Time. This is a 100% remote role.Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Curriculum Design Consulting
As the education team is designing new programs or modules, the Subject Matter Expert will participate in discussions regarding the direction and overall approach to the full-stack software engineering curriculum.
Curriculum Creation
The SME will also contribute directly to the curriculum by working with the Principle Curriculum Designer in crafting lab exercises, writing solution code for prompts, designing or deploying lecture slides.
Curriculum Review
SMEs should be skilled in all languages, frameworks, other technologies, and topics within curriculum, including: Python, Pandas, Numpy, Matplotlib, Seaborn, Statistical Analysis fundamentals, Jupyter Notebook, SQL, REST APIs, PowerBI (Power Query, PowerBI Service), Tableau (Tableau Prep, Tableau Public), Data visualizations, Data preparation and modeling, Making interactive dashboards, Publishing dashboards, Integrating data sources
Networking
Consulting within their network to obtain a greater understanding of industry best practices.
