      Newmont Tanami is on Aboriginal freehold land 540km northwest of Alice Springs. It is a long-life, low-cost, world-class asset in a core Newmont region. The Tanami Expansion 2 project, aims to extend the mine life beyond 2040, investing in a hoisting shaft which will increase the production of the underground mine from 2.6 Mtpa to 3.2 Mtpa. Both the successful exploration within the underground operation and implementation of the first Tanami Expansion has laid the foundation to further develop the operation to remain a major contributor to the Newmont portfolio. A fully equipped camp is located 40km from the site offering leisure facilities for those flying in from Perth, Brisbane, Alice Springs or Darwin.

      The role

      We are currently have an opportunity to join our Flights, Facilities & Accommodation team for a site based Administrator. Reporting to the Flights & Village Supervisor, this position will provide administrative services and related support to the Tanami Operation with a key focus on the daily management of Newmont’s Site Access & Flights processes by ensuring they are operationally productive and meeting the needs of our customers and stakeholders, including business partners

      In this role, you will

      • Facilitate the daily management of Flights and Site access requirements for Tanami
      • Maintain all systems, processes and procedures for the site access admin team
      • Provide general administrative support for the department and site leaders as needed
      • Organise the provision of work location support items such as work stations, phone, computer and IT access
      • Assist with processing Invoicing support eg. goods release, work orders, service requisitions etc
      • Support expense management, accommodation, travel bookings
      • Prepare department and site reports
      • Apply a continuous improvement mindset to all tasks
      • Uphold safety standards
      • Support environmental and social responsibility standards, policies and practices

      The person

      • Experience in a similar administrative role
      • Experience in procedures associated with mobilisation of personnel to mine sites is advantageous
      • Experience in flight and accommodation booking management desirable
      • Proficient and accurate typing/keyboard skills and high attention to detail
      • Advanced skills in a wide range of computer programs, in particular Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat and Outlook
      • Airport Aviation knowledge desirable
      • Demonstrated effective communication, organisational and time management skills
      • Strong customer service focus
      • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work collaboratively with team members

      Working Conditions

      This is a site-based FIFO position, working an 8/6 roster and is open to internal and external candidates with a Alice Springs or Darwin POH
