      Main duties of the job

      The post: Will be mainly to cover our busy contact centre phone lines which are open Monday - Friday from 8am - 5pm each week and are busy with patients looking to book appointments or require support and advise from our clinicians. In addition, you will be trained on the reception duties and will be expected to support this aspect from time to time and be part of our Saturday morning clinic on a rota basis. The admin role is varied and we thrive on using digital technology and being innovative, which means change to processes can be frequent. The role involves speaking to patients both face to face and over the phone who will often share personal information, all of which must remain confidential. Full training will be given, however, if you have experience in using SystmOne this would be useful. The post holder will be: Enthusiastic, willing to learn, confident and with a helpful patient focused nature in what can often be a busy and varied role, with lots of complexities involved. You will have a flexible approach and an ability to adapt in our every evolving service. Attention to detail, being a team player and confidentiality are key requirements. Confidentiality is key to this role therefore discretion and privacy of all patients and their information must always be protected as identified in Locala policies.
