      Summary of Duties:

      This position provides confidential and complex administrative support to the Associate Dean and the Office of Assessment, Evaluation and Curriculum Management by completing diverse responsibilities such as compilation of reports, office management, complex calendaring, and liaison within the Office, the College, other WSU departments and external constituents.

      This position serves as the administrative support for the Office of Assessment, Evaluation, and Curriculum Management working closely with the Assistant Director of Assessment, Evaluation, and Curriculum Management to complete purchase requests, plan for onboarding of new staff and faculty and office space management. This position manages office record keeping and filing systems to maintain college record retention requirements. Complex calendar management requires prioritization of meetings, tasks, and requests, including timely support of students’ requests, to ensure deadlines and student needs are met.

      The AEC Administrative Assistant will draft, proof, format and compile reports on behalf of the Associate Dean/Office. This position needs to have an understanding of University and College policies and procedures related to the Programs of Assessment and Evaluation, Curriculum Management and Accreditation requirements. It is pertinent that this position exercises independent judgement and initiative in performing these duties as well as maintain a high level of confidentiality.

      Required Qualifications:

      High school graduation or equivalent, AND two years of increasingly responsible office experience requiring keyboarding or typing; OR equivalent education/experience.

      Additional Requirements:

      • Demonstrated commitment to confidentiality and privacy.

      • Computer software skills, including the ability to use office software, such as databases, spreadsheets, Outlook and word processing. Including ability to use mail merge and manage multiple complex calendars.

      • Adobe knowledge including use/creation of forms, merging of files, creation of table of contents/appendixes, etc.

      • Demonstrated working knowledge of policies and procedures in a complex academic or similar organization.


      Preferred Qualifications:

      • Experience in higher education and/or healthcare governmental regulations.

      Monthly Salary: $3,096 to $4,093 | Range #35 Steps A-M | Successful candidates typically begin at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 357-28. Step M is typically a longevity step.
