Arts and Sciences | Distance EducationThe Administrative Assistant reports to the Director of Distance Education for the College of Arts and Sciences. The Administrative Assistant receives incoming requests to the office and works with the Director of Distance Education to assign to appropriate staff within the department using the project management system. Creates promotional and informational materials for the office’s services and projects. Independently responds to routine correspondence representing the Office of Distance Education, maintains office records, and queries data as requested. Serves as liaison with our college fiscal support to ensure compliance and initiate tasks like guest account sponsorship, incentive payments, vendor contracts, and travel planning. Orders supplies and manages the Purchasing Card and other procurements. Helps to maintain website and social media channels. Assists with meeting and event scheduling and logistics. Collects and organizes assessment and reporting documents. Helps to implement special projects. Completes other administrative duties as needed.
Required: High School diploma or GED. One year of relevant experience.
Desired: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Two years of relevant experience. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and multiple priorities. Demonstrated experience with file organization and records management, strong data and data visualization literacy. Demonstrated ability to use the Microsoft Office suite. Experience with Airtable project management tools, basic webpage (Drupal), graphic design skills, and social media management. Familiarity with the higher education context and distance education.

The pay range for this job profile is $18.17 - $23.90. The offer for this position will fall within this range based on internal equity, unit's available budget, and the candidate's qualifications.
