      Job Summary

      The Administrative Assistant II reports to the Assistant Dean for Academic Services and provides a high level of support for the Dean of the college and the Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs & Industry relations.

      Job Responsibilities

      Working a high level of autonomy and independence, the Administrative Assistant II's primary role is to provide administrative support to the Dean of the college and also the Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs & Industry Relations. This requires an exceptionally high level of organization and the ability to manage and maintain communications on multiple critical priorities and projects. The role requires the ability to manage complex and ever-changing calendars and scheduling needs, understanding how to prioritize requests, and plan long-term. The Administrative Assistant II is very pro-active, anticipating upcoming activities, tracking timelines, and initiating processes when needed.
      The Administrative Assistant II is also responsible for scheduling, tracking agenda items and guests, managing logistics for, and taking notes at both the dean's Leadership Team meetings and college-wide faculty and staff meetings.
      Additionally, the Administrative Assistant II provides administrative coordination for the majority of the college's faculty committees and processes including tenure and promotions, governance, annual evaluations, and awards. With strict adherence to college and university policies as a well confidentiality, they provide critical communication to candidates, facilitate committee work, and organize materials.
      Other duties as assigned.

      Required Qualifications

      A bachelor's degree or equivalent plus 6-8 years of experience working in an administrative support role, preferably at an academic institution, with demonstrated experience working with confidential information
