The ideal candidate will have good organizational skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple priorities while meeting strict deadlines.WHAT YOU WILL DO:
The Administrative Assistant III performs complex (journey-level) administrative support work. Works under general supervision, with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. This position will report directly to the Regional Tax Director.YOU WILL BE TRUSTED TO:
-Coordinate and perform general office duties such as answering and routing phone calls, ordering and maintaining office supplies and distributes incoming mail and outgoing mail, forms and documents.
-Perform key entry functions from agency source documents and transcribes source documents into typewritten format.
-Prepare travel vouchers, arrangements and schedules for Tax Management.
-Serve as ADSO and Floor Marshall taking responsibility for orders and deliveries of new equipment and ensuring compliance of safety.
-Assist with new employee orientation, onboarding and providing necessary supplies.
-Work with others to ensure objectives of the department are achieved and maintains strict confidentiality.
-Perform related work as assigned and may participate in training others.YOU QUALIFY WITH:
-Two years of full-time experience that provided knowledge of administrative support functions and office practices and procedures, or clerical administration and business management practices, such as preparation, maintenance, and control of forms, records and reports.
-Relevant academic credits may be applied toward experience qualifications for this position.YOU ARE A GREAT FIT WITH:
-Knowledge of UI Tax program, TWC mainframe and Texas Unemployment Compensation Act (TUCA).
-Experience as an Administrative Assistant and/or conducting New Employee Orientation.
-Experience with handling and responding to employer phone calls, inquires and mail.
-Proficient in the use of technology, including web application software using standard browsers and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook, Teams).
-Ability to solve problems, make decisions quickly and communicate effectively.
-Strong prioritization, time management, and organizational skills.
-A positive attitude and professional demeanor to support colleagues in achieving division goals.
-Ability to work both independently and engage in a collaborative, results-oriented team environment.
-Ability to adhere to assigned work schedule, Monday-Friday.YOU GAIN:
