      JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

      Penn State World Campus Enrollment Management Services is seeking a motivated individual to join the Admissions and Transfer Credit Services teams as a dual role - Admissions Counselor/Transfer Credit Specialist. In this newly created role, you will split your time equally between the World Campus Admissions and Transfer Credit Services Teams.

      With the admissions team you will guide future Penn State students in navigating the application and enrollment process for online undergraduate and graduate degree programs. You will interact and communicate with prospects, applicants, and students, on the phone, via email and in live chats, as well as work closely with peers on other World Campus student facing teams, assisting in the planning, and implementing various recruitment, conversion, and retention programming, including open houses, information sessions, workshops, web-based events, and other related activities.

      Specific to transfer credits, you will research undergraduate student cases and make recommendations for course substitutions to college partners while ensuring the integrity of the academic program. This includes advocating with college partners on behalf of World Campus students to determine how transfer credits apply to degree requirements. Transfer Credit Specialists are also responsible for creating academic progress tools for students and maintaining and updating student records in various online systems.

      Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, actively participating in strategic planning activities, participating in team projects, and representing the Admissions and Transfer Credit Services Teams and World Campus on various teams and committees.

      Education and Experience:

      Minimum requirements are an Associates degree plus two (2) years or relevant experience. Or, an equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel, student information systems, and customer relationship software is preferred.

      Additional Information:

      This job will report to an Assistant Director on the World Campus Admissions Team. Candidates are requested to submit both a cover letter and resume in addition to their application. Work will primarily be performed remotely with some in-person meetings/retreat attendance required in University Park, PA.

      The salary range for this position, including all possible grades is:

      $46,400.00 - $67,300.00
