      Job summary

      We invite you to be part of ourConsultant Psychiatrist team, where your leadership will drive the mental health care provision in Eating disorders.

      Main duties of the job

      You will also be part of theon-call rota, which includes providing emergency mental health assessments and treatment when required. Theon-call frequency will be explained ahead of interview, ensuring you balance clinical duties with professional development.

      Job responsibilities

      As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will play a pivotal role in delivering patient care while also contributing to team leadership and service development. You will be responsible for:

      • Performing comprehensive assessments and developing treatment plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
      • Leadingward rounds, multidisciplinary team meetings, and care reviews.
      • Overseeing clinical management of complex cases, particularly those involving risk or challenging behaviour.
      • Supporting patients and families through treatment decisions, relapse prevention, and recovery pathways.
      • Providing mentorship, supervision, and support to junior medical staff and other healthcare professionals.
      • Driving quality improvement initiatives and maintaining compliance withCQC regulationsand national standards.
      • Collaborating with site leadership to ensure efficient service delivery and patient satisfaction.

      • - Full GMC registration with specialist registration in child and adolescent
      • - Extensive experience in Eating Disorders.
      • - Strong knowledge of Clinical Governance and adherence to regulatory frameworks.
      • - Successful completion of an enhanced DBS check, provided by The Priory Hospital Roehampton
