      Overview

      M Health Fairview is looking for an advance life support instructor! This role conducts segments of the Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and/or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Initial and Renewal courses for residents, physicians, employees, and participants from outside the organization. To maintain ACLS and PALS certification and keep current on ACLS/PALS guidelines as published by the American Heart Association. This position is a .6 FTE - 48 hours per two weeks.

      We are searching for a candidate who can teach PALS, ACLS, BLS, PEARS, or any other Advanced/basic classes for this position.


      Responsibilities Job Description

      This position will teach advanced life support classes for Fairview employees across the Fairview Health System, including Legacy HealthEast locations, and for outside participants that are required to maintain ACLS compliance as published by the American Heart Association (AHA).

      • Responsible for the instruction and testing of multi-disciplinary staff on ACLS knowledge and skills
      • Prepares and completes necessary documentation for staff attending classes as required by the Course Coordinator
      • Present lectures and psycho-motor skill stations according to the current edition of the Provider Manual and in accordance with Administrative Procedures.
      • Evaluate participant's psycho-motor skills and knowledge according to the current edition of the Provider Manual and in accordance with Administrative Procedures.
      • Maintain a professional and encouraging learning environment

      Qualifications

      Required

      Experience

      • Current or previous healthcare provider experience

      License/Certification/Registration

      • Current or working towards AHA ACLS instructor certification

      Preferred

      Experience

      • 2 years of healthcare and instructional experience

      Compensation Disclaimer

      This position provides one flat hourly rate, with regular reviews to ensure competitiveness with the market.
