What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of three (3) years of work experience as a coder, with experience focused on inpatient coding
- Certification by American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) as a Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) or certification by American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) as a Certified Inpatient Coder (CIC)
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Basic computer skills
